Havelock boardwalk runs from Queen Charlotte Drive at one end of Havelock and continues to the end of the marina. Nice flat walk for all ages and abilities. Good range of bird life.
The Wakamarina track and Nydia track are very popular Mountain biking and walking tracks. The Wakamarina track is just 6km up from the camp. See Mountain biking and transport page on this website for links and our shuttle services.
Good food and Drinks in Havelock, Slip Inn Store snacks and fantastic range of craft beer, down at the marina, right on the slipway so you can watch the action. Mills Bay Mussels for a range of (you guessed it) mussels at the other end of the marina. Check out some boats while you are there! Captains Daughter good food and wines, plus decent tap beers. Coffee try Blue Cafe or Rays Place. The Trout Hotel just 10 minutes down the road from Pinedale has a Bugger night on Wednesday for really cheap dinners.

Havelock Museum is worth a look at in the middle of the main street, look for a little black train.
The hill behind Havelock (Mount Takorika) has many short walks ranging from a few minutes to several hours, access from the side roads west of the main road. Out and back walks. Excellent downhill trails developed by locals for mountain bike challenges.
